Japanese Aesthetics at Sea — Asuka III ✖ Kasane Frame

We are pleased to announce that our interior art piece, “Kasane Frame,”has been selected for the Midship Suite guest rooms of the luxury cruise ship “Asuka III,”which will enter service on July 20, 2025.

“Kasane Frame” is a new form of art craft inspired by Kasane no Irome—the layered color aesthetics of Heian-period court attire.It incorporates the materials and artisan techniques used in hina doll costumes,reinterpreted for contemporary interiors.

Bringing the richness of Japanese color culture into modern spaces,its design gently harmonizes with guest rooms where travelers spend their most special moments.

Katsurahina will continue to value the aesthetic of “displaying culture,”delivering the beauty of Japanese tradition to spaces both in Japan and around the world.
